Dear Readers,
Every now and then, we here at Snap Snap will give reviews on the movies that we have seen, be it international or local. Now for the first review we will be talking about a movie that was released last year. This movie has managed to capture my heart and believe it or not I actually cried watching it. The title of this movie is known as “The Time Travellers’ Wife”, directed by Robert Scwentke. This movie tells the story of a man who has the ability to travel through time. As much as he had tried going for treatments and all, he just never seems to be able to control this ability. There is also love seen here between an average American girl and a man with powers, and since he isn’t able to control his powers, his wife is often left alone to care for her own self. However, in the end they managed to overcome these obstacles and conceive a child who possesses the same genetic trait as her father and this time with an extra bonus, the girl can control where she is going to travel. When the girl meets her father in the future, she tells him that he is going to die. Tough luck eh, so anyways when this happens the man unbelievably remains calm and goes on with his life and dies as foretold. I won’t tell you the ending because it is sort of a huge spoiler. So that’s it for the synopsis and now for the review. This movie is pretty complicated because it plays with different time plots all the time, but despite all that the director still manages to perform beautifully. The settings in this movie are quite limited but enough to provide a nice and easy going flow. It doesn’t have too much drama or humour but just enough to keep us glued to our seats. Overall, I would just have to say that this movie is just nice and good to watch with your loved ones and if I would have to rate it from 1 to 10; I would most definitely give it an 8 out of 10.
Yours Truly,
Kapt Kram.
